Coconut khoya Berfi


No festival is complete without some delicious food so I kick start my fast with this melt in your mouth Coconut Khoya Berfi. I made this berfi without sugar or sugar syrup . You can feel original flavor of coconut, milk, khoya and dryfruits  On this sweet note wishing everyone a very happy Navratri.


Ingredients

1 cup grated coconut
1 litter milk
1/2 cup grated khoya
1/2 cashew and almond mix powder
1 tablespoon green cardamom powder
2 tablespoon ghee

Method

Grate coconut by using a grater.


Boil milk in non-stick cookware and add grated coconut in it.


Keep it on low flame till 45 min . keep stirring occasionally. Once its become semi thick add grated khoya, cashew and almond powder in it. and mix well.


Add ghee and road it on high flame for 5 to 7 min till its become dry.

Add green cardamom powder in it and cover for 5 min.

In meanwhile grace ghee on glass/steel squire shape unit and pore the coconut khoye mixture in it.


Cover it with aluminium foil and keep it in fridge for 1 to 2 hr . so it could become set properly
Cut in in small squire pieces and serve .
