Bhindi Masala


Okra or bhindi is very famous and evergreen vegetable.  This is the most commonly consumed vegetable in India. We can make it in many different ways. I made this bhindi masala by marinating it with few spices and fry it with adding of onion, tomato, curd and peanut powder. It can be perfect side dish and served in lunch as well as dinner.


Ingredients

400 gm ladyfinger
1 slice cut onion
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 tablespoon yellow mustard powder
2 tablespoon mustard oil
1 teaspoon roasted peanut powder
1 tablespoon curd
1 tomato chopped

Method:-

Cut ladyfinger in long shape ( Remove the ends and cut along the length till half )


Marinate ladyfinger with salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, yellow mustard powder, ginger, garlic, red chili powder and mustard oil, and leave for 15 to 20 min .

 
Heat open pan and add marinated ladyfingers with sliced onion and fry it for 6 to 8 min on low flame.


 Add chopped tomato, mix well and roast it for another 5 min .


Now mix curd and mix well and again roast it for another 2 min.


Mix roasted peanut powder and mix well just keep flame high for 1 min.


Bhindi masala is ready to serve and you can serve it with butter tawa roti.
