Atta Halwa

Today is Karva Chauth and needed to make something sweet for puja so made quick and easy Atta Halwa. It is delicious and equally nutritious and loved by everyone. I love the simplicity of this dish and how quickly it can be done. So try this Halwa this festive season.

Ingredients:
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Desi Ghee
2 cup Water
2 tbs Fresh Cream (Malai)
3-4 teaspoon Milk
6-7 Almonds (cut in small pieces)
½ tbs Green Cardamom Powder

Directions:
·         In a bowl take flour and fresh cream and milk and mash it together with your hands
·         Once it is mixed properly take a strainer and strain the flour so there are no lumps
·         Heat ghee in non-stick pan, then add flour in ghee and sauté, keep stirring continuously for 8-10 minutes or till it becomes golden brown colour
·         Then add water and sugar and keep stirring continuously, once the ghee starts leaving the flour your Halwa is ready

·         Take it out in a bowl and garnish with almonds and cardamom powder
