Thandai


We start of our Holi special with traditional north India drink Thandai. Thandai is chilled flavoured beverage which taste terrific when it’s hot. The use of dry fruits and saffron in this drink just elevate its taste completely. Enjoy the festival of colours with this amazing cool and refreshing Thandai.



Ingredients:

1 litre milk
1 cup water
1 small bowl dry fruits powder( Cashew, Almond, Raisins and dates)
2 tablespoon muskmelon seeds
2 table spoon poppyseeds
2 tablespoon fennel seeds
1 small cup sugar
1 tablespoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon custard powder 
1 pinch saffron

Directions:
1.       Heat milk by keeping it on low flame.
2.       In a bowl take little water and mix custard powder properly.
3.       Once the milk is boiled properly add custard powder in it and boil the milk.
4.       Once the milk is boiled keep it on low flame for 10 minutes. After that keep it aside to cool down.
5.       Take a mixer grinder and make powder of all the dry fruits, poppy seeds, fennel seed & muskmelon seeds.
6.       When the milk is cold add sugar and powder that you have made in it and mix it properly.
7.       Then mix saffron and cardamom powder and mix it again and keep it in fridge to chill.
8.       Now your Thandai is ready to serve.
