Honey Chili Chicken


Chicken is such a diverse dish and can be made in so many different ways. Yesterday I made Honey Chili Chicken; this chicken is sweet and salty in taste with little bit of Chinese twist and can be served as a quick dinner or lunch dish or can be eaten just like that during snack time. Try this dish and I am sure you will really like the taste & flavors of this dish.

Ingredients:
1.       Boneless Chicken                        : 500 gms (Cut in square pieces and partially boiled)

2.       Eggs                                           : 2
3.       Refine oil                                     : ½ bowl (Sufficient amount for deep frying)
4.       Salt                                             : 2 teaspoon (According to taste)
5.       Onion                                          : 1 (Chopped)
6.       Green Chili                                  : 2 (Cut in small pieces)
7.       Spring Onion                               : Less than ½ small bowl
8.       Ginger & Garlic Paste                  : 1 teaspoon
9.       Tomato Puree                              : Make by grind 2 tomatoes in mixer grinder
10.   Capsicum                                     : 1 (Cut in small pieces)
11.   Corn Flour Powder                        : 4 tablespoon
12.   Chili Sauce                                   : 3-4 tablespoon
13.   Tomato Sauce                              : 3-4 tablespoon
14.   Soya Sauce                                  : 3-4 tablespoon              
15.   Honey                                          : 4-5 tablespoon
16.   Vinegar                                        : ½ tablespoon
17.   Chicken Chili Powder                   : 1 tablespoon

Direction
1. Put semi boil chicken in medium size bowl and add eggs, 2 tablespoon honey, salt, corn flour powder, 1/2 tablespoon ginger & garlic paste, 1 tablespoon chili sauce, 1 tablespoon tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon soya sauce, 1/2 tablespoon vinegar.

2. Leave it aside for 1 hour to marinate.
3. After 1 hour, heat refine oil in open pan and deep fry chicken pieces till they turn light brown in colour.
4.Then remove the chicken from the pan. 

Honey Sauce preparation
1. Again heat oil in an open pan and add onion, green chili, Chopped ginger & garlic , capsicum and fry till they become light brown in colour.
2.Once its become light brown add tomato puree, salt, 1/2 tablespoon ginger & garlic paste and honey and fry for 5 min.
3. After that add tomato sauce, chilly sauce, soya sauce and chicken chili powder and mix it well and fry them together for 5-7 minutes.
4. After that add fried Chicken in this sauce and mix it properly add keep it on low flame for 15-20 minute

5.       After that remove it from the pan and garnish with spring onions

6.       Now your Honey Chili Chicken is ready to serve

Crispy Banana Rolls



Snacks are my favorite and today I am sharing recipe of Crispy Banana Rolls.  They are super yummy to eat and are quite different in taste then your regular potato or vegetable rolls. They are quick to make and are perfect for a small tea party. Do try these yummy rolls if you are looking for something different & these rolls taste heavenly with raw banana chutney. You can see my previous post for raw banana chutney recipe.
Ingredients:-

1.       Raw Banana                                                : 2-3
2.       Corn Flour Powder                                       : 2 tablespoon
3.       Crush Panner                                              : 2 tablespoon
4.       Rice Powder                                               : 2 tablespoon
5.       Gram Flour                                                 : 4-5 tablespoon
6.       Ginger  & Garlic                                          : 1 teaspoon (Chopped)
7.       Onion                                                         :  ½ small bowl (Chopped)
8.       Poppy Seeds                                              : 2 tablespoon
9.       Kitchen King Masala                                   : 1 teaspoon
10.   Garam Masala                                             : 1 teaspoon
11.   Salt                                                             : 1 tablespoon (According to taste)
12.   Red Chili Powder                                         : 1 teaspoon
13.   Turmeric Powder                                          : 1 teaspoon
14.   Coriander Leaves                                         : ½ small bowl
15.   Green Chili                                                  : 1 (Cut in small pieces)
16.   Refined Oil                                                  : ½ bowl
               
Directions:
1. Boil raw banana in pressure cooker and give 2 Visil or boil in the water for 30 minutes or till it becomes soft.
2. Once it is cooked keep it aside for cooling, after that remove the peel.
3. Now take a mid size bowl and add boil banana, corn flour powder, Crush Panner, rice powder, Gram flour, ginger & garlic, poppy seeds, kitchen king masala, garam masala powder, salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, chopped green chilly and coriander leaves and mix it properly ( Do not use water).
4. Now take small size of this mixture and give it a shape of small ball.
5. Heat oil in the kadai, once the oil is hot put 4 to 5 ball in it and deep fry till they become golden brown in colour, ( Fry banana ball on the light flame).
6. Now your crispy Banana rolls is ready to serve.

Raw Banana Peel Chutney / Kachche Kele Ki Chutney


We make so many kinds of chutney in our day to day life and most common among them is coriander and imli chutney so I thought why not do away with them and try one chutney which is not made that frequently in our household so I made Raw Banana Peel Chutney or as some people call it kachche kele ki chutney. This chutney is really delicious and when you are eating it you can’t even guess what it is made of. This chutney goes very well with all North & South Indian dishes but tastes really good with South Indian dishes. So next time you want to make some different chutney with your food then do try this delicious recipe.

Navratan Daal Khichdi


It was the occasion of Makar Sakranti and I Though why not make traditional Khichdi as dinner but instead of making Khichdi the regular way I tried making it with combination of nine daal/lentils and the result was amazing. The taste and flavor was so wholesome and what a complete meal it was. Even my little one loved it so I found easiest way to make everyone in my family eat 9 lentils in one go Navratan Khichdi is not only healthy but also very tasty. And as the saying goes " Khichdi ke char yaar- Chokha, Chutney,Ghee and Aachar" so don't forget to eat your Khichdi with its char yaar.

Chicken Keema Tikki


In this winter season our taste buds crave for some hot and finger food so yesterday I made these amazing Chicken Keema Tikki. The flavors are awesome and what a nice dish to serve with hot ginger tea. Enjoy this tasty & hot Chicken Keema Tikki in this cold weather!
Ingredients:
1.       Chicken Keema                         : 250 gms
2.       Green Chili                                 : 2-3 (Chopped)
3.        Refined oil                                 : 1 bowl (Sufficient amount for frying)
4.       Salt                                               : 1 teaspoon (According to taste)
5.       Corn Flour Powder                    : ½ small bowl or 3-4 tablespoon
6.       Rice Powder                               : 2 tablespoon
7.       Gram Flour                                 : 2 tablespoon
8.       Turmeric Powder                       : 1 teaspoon
9.       Onion                                           : ½ small bowl (Chopped)
10.   Red Chili Powder                        : 1 teaspoon
11.   Coriander Powder                      : 1 teaspoon
12.   Coriander Leaves                        : ½ small bowl (Chopped)
13.   Mint Leaves                                 : ½ small bowl (Chopped)
14.   Cumin Powder                            : 1 teaspoon
15.   Garam Masala                             : 1 teaspoon      
16.   Ginger & Garlic                           : 2 tablespoon (Chopped)

Directions:
1.       Clean Chicken Keema and keep aside for 2 minutes to drain out excess water
2.       Then take keema and add turmeric powder, salt, coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger & garlic and mix it well and boil chicken keema  in microwave for 15 to 20 minutes
3.       After it has boiled for 15 to 20 minutes, it will become very soft. Then drain out the excess water
4.       Now keep this Chicken keema in big size of bowl and add onion, green chili, garam masala powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, corn flour powder, gram flour powder and rice powder and mix it properly
5.       Then in hand take little mixture of Chicken keema  and give it shape like circle
6.       Place them on the non-sticky tawa and cook till the underside is golden
7.       Turn over and cook till the other side is equally golden
8.       Now your  Chicken Keema Tikki is ready for serve

Season of strawberry is here and strawberry shake is one of my favorite drinks so I thought why not share recipe of my favorite shake with you all. I make Strawberry shake with little twist, I add dry fruits and curd to the shake which gives it more thickness and richness and tastes wise it gives completely new flavor.  This is the best way to make your kids have dry fruits; strawberry, milk and curd in one go!
