Peanut and Coconut Chutney


We make so many kinds of chutney in our day to day life and most common among them is coriander and imli chutney so I thought why not do away with them and try one chutney which is not made that frequently in our household so I made peanut and coconut chutney. This chutney is really delicious and when you are eating it you can’t even guess what it is made of. This chutney goes very well with South Indian dishes.


Ingredients:

1 bowl peanut
1/2 small bowl coconut pieces
4 pieces garlic
1 teaspoon tamarind paste
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black muster seeds
7-8 curry leaves
2 green chili
3-4 small pieces onion
1 tablespoon mustard oil


Direction:-

  1. Roast peanut, coconut, garlic,onion and green chilly together in to a small size of pan
  2. Once its become very light brown out in to hot water for 1 hour.
  3. Once peanut and coconut become quit soft prepare paste of peanut, coconut, garlic, onion and green chilly
  4. Now add salt ( according to taste ) and tamarind paste in the peanut and coconut, mix properly.
  5. Now heat mustard oil for tadka-add black rai and curry leaves.
  6. Once its become light color put in to the peanut and coconut mix chutney.
  7. Now its ready to serve.
