Mutton Shor Gul


                          

I am sharing recipe of mutton shor gul. This dish is extremely rich in terms of flavors. This mutton is little spicy and gives right punch to your taste buds.This dish can be perfect for lunch and dinner.

Ingredients:   

1 kg mutton small pieces
8 peeled baby potato
1 cup refined oil
4 tablespoon ghee
500 gm chopped tomato
500 gm chopped onion 
1 tablespoon chopped ginger
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 tablespoon chopped green chili
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
4 tablespoon onion paste
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste
2 tablespoon tomato paste
1 cup curd
2 green and black cardamon
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder 
2 bay leaves
4 cloves

Method:


 1.Clean Mutton with water and keep aside for 5 minutes to drain out excess water.
 2.Heat 3 to 4 Spoon oil in a pan and put Chopped onion pieces,Chopped Tomato pieces,Chopped ginger,chopped Garlic.
 3.Saute properly for 5 mins and then add 1 Spoon Salt, 1 Spoon Turmeric powder,1 Spoon, Red chilly powder, 1 Spoon Cumin    Powder, 1 Spoon Garam Masala Powder  and again saute for 5 to 7 min .
 4.After that add 1 Cup / Bowl curd in to the above and keep on light flame for 5 min.
 5.Take the above prepared masala in a mixer-grinder and make thick paste.
 6.Add this paste to Mutton and baby potato and leave for 1 Hour to marinate
.
          

   7.       Gravy Preparation:

·         Heat  refined-vegetable oil in an open pan
·         Add ½ spoon whole Jeera , black pepper (whole), Bay Leaves (Tej patta) , Red Whole Chilly 2, Choti ilaichi, Bari ilaichi , daal-chini, cloves and Chopped onion and fry till light brown
·         After that add tomato and onion paste and 1 bowl curd, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder and salt and fry for another 10-12 minutes .
·         Add marinated mutton and baby potatoes in to the pan and mix properly and fry for 15 to 20 min on light flame . After that put 2 to 3 spoon mutton masala and again roast and keep on light flame.
·         Once your mutton fries properly transfer the above contents into a pressure cooker, add 3 to 4 spoon Ghee and cook for 4 to 5 whistles

   8.       Serve your Mutton shor-gul with hot – Butter Roti / Butter Naan/ Steamed Basmati Rice.
