Moong Daal Paratha

Few days back I shared very interesting recipe of Chana Daal Paratha and today I am sharing recipe of Moong Daal Paratha. This paratha is very easy to make and is very high on nutritional value. Rather than making your usual daal paratha from leftover daal do try to make it like this and you will pleasantly surprise with its yum factor!!

Ingredients:

1 cup boiled moong daal
2 cup wheat flour
1 carrot grated
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1 chopped green chili
1 teaspoon chaat masala
1 teaspoon ajwain
1 teaspoon black jeera
2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
4 tablespoon oil

Directions:

  1. In the whole wheat flour add salt, green chilies, ajwain, black cumin, coriander leaves, carrot,  ginger and oil and mix it well
  2. Now add boiled moong daal and rub it into the flour
  3. Slowly add little by little water and make soft dough and keep it covered with damp cloth for 30 minutes
  4. Knead the dough again and make small balls
  5. Roll into a slightly thick chapatti than usual
  6.  Pre-heat the girdle (tawa) and cook the paratha with oil
  7. Before serving cut it into half and smear some butter on it
  8. Serve hot with Potato vegetable or pickle and curd
